Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Amancio Helguera kicked off to start the match. San Esteban's Serafín Amorebieta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miliano Vacas in the 5th minute of play. In the 7thth minute of the game Ramond Cabezas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valgañon FC's Honorato Carballido was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramond Cabezas in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Honorato Carballido prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Valgañon FC's Honorato Carballido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Valgañon FC from getting a goal against them. In the 15th match minute, Valgañon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Azofra to maneuver through the defense. Honorato Carballido acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 16th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Xacintu Iniesta. Miliano Vacas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Serafín Amorebieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramond Cabezas did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Honorato Carballido 30 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adelio Odín got free with Honorato Carballido in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of San Esteban booed when Valgañon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Azofra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amancio Helguera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Natanael Romero's late challenge caught a Valgañon FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. If Adelio Odín had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zarbonin Campomanes hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. If Ramond Cabezas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 94th match minute, Valgañon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zarbonin Campomanes to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The San Esteban fans cheered their team off the field, for while Valgañon FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
