In the 6thth minute of the game Bero Nunez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gualba De Baix AD's Bautista Lacorte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hori Camarasa in the 11th minute of play forced Puigverd De Lleida's goalkeeper Gitano Clemente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tolino Revuelta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Gitano Clemente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tolino Revuelta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute Tolino Revuelta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gitano Clemente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Puigverd De Lleida getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Guillen Iglesias hit a great ball. Gualba De Baix AD's Cambranes Feal couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 27th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Puigverd De Lleida. Bautista Lacorte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artemio Negro in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Gualba De Baix AD's goal looked a bit too open when Bero Nunez came free, but Bautista Lacorte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cesareo Nunez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bautista Lacorte. Gualba De Baix AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hori Camarasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gitano Clemente having to interfere. Hori Camarasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Gitano Clemente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tolino Revuelta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the game, Mario Pascual was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Puigverd De Lleida's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gualba De Baix AD the free kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Gitano Clemente was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Tolino Revuelta capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tolino Revuelta really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Bautista Lacorte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artemio Negro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gitano Clemente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tolino Revuelta, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Hori Camarasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Gitano Clemente made a huge save. Tolino Revuelta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gitano Clemente having to interfere. Gualba De Baix AD's Bautista Lacorte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bero Nunez in the 81st minute of play. Artemio Negro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bero Nunez in the 85th minute of play forced Gualba De Baix AD's goalkeeper Bautista Lacorte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 minutes of play Puigverd De Lleida's Guillen Iglesias was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Gualba De Baix AD booed when Puigverd De Lleida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillen Iglesias didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute of the match Gualba De Baix AD got a corner. Puigverd De Lleida's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cambranes Feal ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Gualba De Baix AD's corner Cambranes Feal fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gitano Clemente quite easily take care of the ball. In the 96th minute Artemio Negro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bautista Lacorte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Gualba De Baix AD supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gualba De Baix AD would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
