Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bertin Bouzon kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Bertin Bouzon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isidro Leyva. Gallocanta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bertin Bouzon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 7th minute, César Valverde fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Esdras Canal, passed just outside the right post. César Valverde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Esdras Canal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bertin Bouzon scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isidro Leyva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Henry De Silva's late challenge caught a Málaga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henry De Silva helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th match minute, Gallocanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry De Silva to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute of the match Oxel santillana sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isidro Leyva skillfully saved the ball. Millán Madariaga hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Gentza Casado sped through Gallocanta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Isidro Leyva. After 28 played minutes Málaga got a freekick which was hit by Gumersindo Machado. Esdras Canal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Valverde, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After 32 played minutes Gallocanta got a freekick which was hit by Ganix Salgado. Ganix Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 40thth minute of the game Gentza Casado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gallocanta's Isidro Leyva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Gallocanta's goal looked a bit too open when Bertin Bouzon came free, but Isidro Leyva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Málaga's Bertin Bouzon got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Málaga were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and César Valverde made a kick off. Gentza Casado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Isidro Leyva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gentza Casado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Málaga's zone, César Valverde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esdras Canal came out of the goal and César Valverde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Gallocanta booed when Málaga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Normando Talavera didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Málaga's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ganix Salgado was slow to take the kick. During this time Gallocanta's players had a chance to rest. Esdras Canal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaizkine Barrientos in the 82nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Málaga's zone, Gaizkine Barrientos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esdras Canal came out of the goal and Gaizkine Barrientos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaizkine Barrientos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 93 minutes, Gentza Casado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Málaga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gentza Casado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute, Millán Madariaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertin Bouzon in the 95th minute of play forced Gallocanta's goalkeeper Isidro Leyva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaizkine Barrientos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Málaga supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Málaga would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
