Benito Bravo charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benito Bravo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Loma Del Monte AFC booed when Basauri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benito Bravo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Loma Del Monte AFC's zone, Lander Ramirez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dimas Camacho came out of the goal and Lander Ramirez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dimas Camacho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lander Ramirez went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Egun Cano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Mora, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Etxave Zapico during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice moves Frasco Alavedra could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Egun Cano however easily saved by the left post. After the first half Basauri were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Florencio Mora was the one to do the kick off. Xulian Ramis made a great header on Loma Del Monte AFC's corner, it was just that Basauri's Egun Cano managed to reach the ball for a save. Florencio Mora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Egun Cano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Egun Cano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Mora in the 66th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Benito Bravo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute Florencio Mora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egun Cano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dimas Camacho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lander Ramirez's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. After 77 minutes, Guillermo Sobrado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Loma Del Monte AFC and the Basauri players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 77 played minutes Loma Del Monte AFC got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Sobrado. A collision led to Loma Del Monte AFC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Guillermo Sobrado hit a great ball. When Frasco Alavedra came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Loma Del Monte AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frasco Alavedra couldn't finish the play. Frasco Alavedra scored 1-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Egun Cano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Despite being the better team, Basauri failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
