Cristián Griful fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zunbeltz Prats having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Nova Xábia's Zunbeltz Prats threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristián Griful, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Nova Xábia booed when Lifa AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silban Canyelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Máximo Zapatero in the 9th minute of play forced Nova Xábia's goalkeeper Thiago Macho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago Macho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mundo Cabezas in the 10th minute of play. A collision led to Nova Xábia getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Thiago Macho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Máximo Zapatero, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Thiago Macho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Máximo Zapatero's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute Cristián Griful shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zunbeltz Prats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Nova Xábia's Duarte Rallo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zunbeltz Prats. Zunbeltz Prats yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 46 minutes into the game, Cristián Griful recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zunbeltz Prats. Cristián Griful showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristián Griful made a kick off. With a little luck, Nova Xábia's Thiago Macho got control of the ball when Máximo Zapatero tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Cristián Griful had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nova Xábia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Mundo Cabezas scored to the left of an out of position Thiago Macho, making the score, 2-1. If Máximo Zapatero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Nova Xábia's goal looked a bit too open when Mundo Cabezas came free, but Thiago Macho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zunbeltz Prats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristián Griful in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute of the match Xesus Erosa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thiago Macho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Mundo Cabezas was extremely unlucky when he, in the 79th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Mundo Cabezas took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Thiago Macho to make any attempt to save it. After 82 minutes, Rodolfo Paredes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lifa AFC and the Nova Xábia players grew even worse after the yellow card.
