Asdrubal Macías charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Asdrubal Macías the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Asdrubal Macías hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bruno Pascua to make the kick off. If Eberardo Cuevas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Echavarri's late challenge caught a Venecia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peter Echavarri helped the player get up and apologised. Flor Adán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Pascual in the 60th minute of play. After 63 minutes Venecia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adán Zubiaga who took care of the corner kick. After 69 played minutes Venecia got a freekick which was hit by Ferman Lopez de Toro. Diego Companys's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flor Adán read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Calamocha's goalkeeper Celio Alabern had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eberardo Cuevas. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venecia's goalkeeper Flor Adán, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Diego Companys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Calamocha's Celio Alabern got control of the ball when Eberardo Cuevas tried to sneak it across the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
