An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Costa in the 7th minute of play forced Sergude CF's goalkeeper Julián Roca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bienvenido Rey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Apoena Nunez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bienvenido Rey might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Apoena Nunez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bienvenido Rey ran back to his position shaking his head. Henry Mayol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Apoena Nunez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oliverios Marquez was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 31 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the game, one of Ayamonte AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Sergude CF a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Godfredo Canturri, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ayamonte AFC's Apoena Nunez. 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santiago Titos got free with Julián Roca in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ayamonte AFC's Apoena Nunez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Mayol in the 40th minute of play. After some careless play in the Sergude CF defense, Santiago Titos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julián Roca. The Sergude CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julián Roca should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute, Felipe Alcalde left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sergude CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The Ayamonte AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sergude CF were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henry Mayol was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Henry Mayol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apoena Nunez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sergude CF's Bienvenido Rey got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henry Mayol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apoena Nunez having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Sergude CF's Henry Mayol ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Apoena Nunez. Apoena Nunez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Santiago Titos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute Santiago Titos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julián Roca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Santiago Titos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unai Aguilar hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. When Senen Tobias fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ayamonte AFC's protests and gave Senen Tobias a yellow card for diving instead. Apoena Nunez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Mayol in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Hitzeder Paz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Sergude CF's Henry Mayol, in the 89th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Sergude CF. A collision led to Ayamonte AFC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Senen Tobias hit a great ball. Henry Mayol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Ayamonte AFC's Apoena Nunez got control of the ball when Bienvenido Rey tried to sneak it across the goal line.
