In the 9th minute Lorencio Santalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Elias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgard Valines kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Anaya Lama shot a long shot in the 14th minute and a light blocked Neron Vuelta hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-0. Hugo Elias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Quintanilla's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. If Lorencio Santalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Celis FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Isaac Cordoba hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Marcelo Quintanilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Elias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caton Sancho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Neron Vuelta skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Hugo Elias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorencio Santalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Celis FC's goalkeeper Hugo Elias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Celis FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Alfredo Echavarri hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the match, El Molar's Bardo Alvarez broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 55th minute, Víctor Cardeñosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute Marcelino Calatayud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Neron Vuelta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marcelino Calatayud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lorencio Santalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Hugo Elias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Elias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorencio Santalla in the 75th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of El Molar:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Celis FC:s goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lorencio Santalla in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Elias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 92 minutes, Marcelo Quintanilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Molar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Quintanilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celis FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
