Otero Saavedra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zeru Vega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ximen Saavedra, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 13th minute, Baltasar Mondejar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Linares booed when Las Majadas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Las Majadas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Linares the free kick. After a rather tough play, Linares's Vincente Ramirez got a free kick in the 40th minute. Zeru Vega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ximen Saavedra in the 45th minute of play. Zeru Vega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ximen Saavedra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roger Vadillos to strike the kick off in the second half.
