After having played for 27 minutes, Eligio Verdaguer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Giverola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eligio Verdaguer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Ursino Echavarri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alberto Muelas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eligio Verdaguer in the 48th minute of play forced Zuaza's goalkeeper Alberto Muelas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Giverola would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
