With an extended leg and a bit of luck Milton Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. O Carballal's Rufo De Pedro shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 6th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Milton Navarro but with some difficulty. After a defensive mix-up in Erandio's zone, Barto Roman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Milton Navarro came out of the goal and Barto Roman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Barto Roman struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Milton Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for O Carballal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 13 minutes into the game, when Asier Cabada put in a rough tackle. Nabar Merino's late challenge caught a Erandio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nabar Merino helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th match minute, O Carballal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nabar Merino to maneuver through the defense. O Carballal's Santiago Losada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Grau in the 20th minute of play. Eusebio Grau hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Barto Roman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Milton Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Iamín Erosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oton Castellano in the 38th minute of play forced O Carballal's goalkeeper Santiago Losada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Iamín Erosa came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the O Carballal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iamín Erosa couldn't finish the play. Barto Roman might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Milton Navarro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barto Roman ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celio Palomares during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of O Carballal booed when Erandio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celio Palomares didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute of the match Nabar Merino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Milton Navarro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Milton Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iamín Erosa in the 64th minute of the match. In the 67th minute Barto Roman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milton Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Erandio's zone, Barto Roman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Milton Navarro came out of the goal and Barto Roman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. O Carballal had won after a very even match.
