Almarín Benedicto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celestino Guasch in the 9th minute. If Celestino Guasch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute Joselito Elguero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Columbo Reina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Joselito Elguero managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Alquian's supporters rose to their feet, but Joselito Elguero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Columbo Reina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th minute of the match Ioseba Parra shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Almarín Benedicto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sol De Silva hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Celestino Guasch who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Almarín Benedicto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nahia Vazquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Nahia Vazquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nahia Vazquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, El Alquian's Almarín Benedicto got control of the ball when Celestino Guasch tried to sneak it across the goal line. Almarín Benedicto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nahia Vazquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastiano Planes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almarín Benedicto having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Joselito Elguero made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match, Sol De Silva got a very nice opportunity to score, but Columbo Reina was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Celestino Guasch blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Almarín Benedicto having to make a save. Cambela Santa Maria were furious when Eutropio Negro was red carded, 58 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 67 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when El Alquian's Joselito Elguero fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. The nice shot from Sol De Silva in the 69thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Columbo Reina had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Celestino Guasch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 78 minutes, Joselito Elguero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Alquian's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joselito Elguero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Columbo Reina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joselito Elguero, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. El Alquian's Sol De Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Celestino Guasch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Almarín Benedicto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of El Alquian booed when Cambela Santa Maria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iosu Iniesta didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute El Alquian were awarded a corner. Servando Quevedo went to the cornerflag to take it. Joselito Elguero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Columbo Reina read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. Although Cambela Santa Maria had been in control for most of the match, El Alquian still came away with the win.
