In the 23rd minute, Paco Novo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Quinito Batuecas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Peli De Paula took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Quinito Batuecas. Peli De Paula received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Quinito Batuecas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvano Elguero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donatello Hidalgo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donatello Hidalgo was the one to do the kick off. In the 78th minute, Donatello Hidalgo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Quinito Batuecas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karlos Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvano Elguero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliviero Abrego in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched La Saira eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
