The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Damaso Vicente showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 7 played minutes, Casas Bajas's Filomeno Vila shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Damaso Vicente came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Casas Bajas reached it. Xamo Abascal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingo Baeza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the game, Atamaria's Domingo Baeza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xamo Abascal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Atamaria's Belasko Mendez got a free kick in the 20th minute. After some careless play in the Casas Bajas defense, Domingo Baeza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Xamo Abascal. The Casas Bajas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xamo Abascal should have stopped the shot. Antonio Pascual struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Damaso Vicente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Casas Bajas. After a defensive mix-up in Casas Bajas's zone, Asier Mayor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xamo Abascal came out of the goal and Asier Mayor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the game, Esteve Bencoiechea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Casas Bajas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atamaria the free kick. In the 38th minute, Esteve Bencoiechea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Antonio Pascual had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd match minute, Atamaria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belasko Mendez to maneuver through the defense. Domingo Baeza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xamo Abascal having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Asier Mayor was the one to do the kick off. If Saturnino Aballe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domingo Baeza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xamo Abascal having to interfere. Atamaria's Damaso Vicente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Pascual in the 63rd minute of play. Domingo Baeza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Antonio Pascual had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damaso Vicente. Atamaria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antonio Pascual was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Antonio Pascual received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Damaso Vicente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Anaya Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xamo Abascal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asier Mayor, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The audience was convinced that Antonio Pascual's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damaso Vicente was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Casas Bajas's Xamo Abascal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Casas Bajas from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Atamaria's zone, Antonio Pascual stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damaso Vicente came out of the goal and Antonio Pascual tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Saturnino Aballe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Casas Bajas's supporters rose to their feet, but Saturnino Aballe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damaso Vicente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes into the match, Casas Bajas's Antonio Pascual sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damaso Vicente narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Antonio Pascual scored 2-2 in the 100th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Damaso Vicente, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
