After having played for 16 minutes, Jaume Serrano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aranjuez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaume Serrano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 17 minutes into the game, Erlantz Valines was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Urbina SD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aranjuez the free kick. Erlantz Valines hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Koldo Valerón didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aranjuez. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaume Serrano was the one to do the kick off. Teodoro Mendez charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodoro Mendez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 69 minutes of play La Urbina SD's Teodoro Mendez was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to La Urbina SD getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Teodoro Mendez hit a great ball. Jaume Serrano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paco Solo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paco Solo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Koldo Valerón having to interfere. Koldo Valerón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaume Serrano in the 78th minute of play. In the 83rd minute Jaume Serrano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Koldo Valerón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La Urbina SD's Maureo Litago got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaume Serrano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paco Solo might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Koldo Valerón. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paco Solo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaume Serrano in the 92nd minute of play forced La Urbina SD's goalkeeper Koldo Valerón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Aranjuez fans cheered their team off the field, for while La Urbina SD had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
