San Lorenzo De El Escorial's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amaro Herrera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the game, San Lorenzo De El Escorial's Beti Orbiz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Polo Jorquera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Leon Justo made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Beti Orbiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Polo Jorquera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Polo Jorquera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After having played for 71 minutes, Amaro Herrera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Lorenzo De El Escorial's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amaro Herrera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 73 minutes into the game, Beti Orbiz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Polo Jorquera. Beti Orbiz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Guaberto Aznar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Justo, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Indalecio Alonso struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Guaberto Aznar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Pardos. Leon Justo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Indalecio Alonso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guaberto Aznar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. If Amaro Herrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 91 minutes, Amador Canturri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Pardos and the San Lorenzo De El Escorial players grew even worse after the yellow card. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. San Lorenzo De El Escorial walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
