Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Archibaldo Bargas in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santiago Gimeno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 11th minute, Cordera Huerta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 14th play minutes Ioseba Maestro shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Anibal Torrent and just under the crossbar into goal. Archibaldo Bargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Santiago Gimeno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Hortichuela's Archibaldo Bargas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santiago Gimeno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Archibaldo Bargas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santiago Gimeno was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Pau's Santiago Gimeno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Archibaldo Bargas in the 31st minute of play. Cordera Huerta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santiago Gimeno read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. The long shot by Abejundio Zafrilla in the 35th minute really tested Anibal Torrent's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 37th minute, Ioseba Maestro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anibal Torrent took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Montero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Pau's goal looked a bit too open when Cordera Huerta came free, but Santiago Gimeno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Archibaldo Bargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celso Montero made a kick off. In the 67th minute, Hortichuela's Domeka Jauregui seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Domeka Jauregui the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hortichuela protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Domeka Jauregui had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hortichuela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! In the 73rd minute, Celso Montero made a precise shot to the right of Anibal Torrent. Hortichuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernardino España during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 79 played minutes Pau got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino España. Archibaldo Bargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Santiago Gimeno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the game, Ioseba Maestro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Anibal Torrent was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pau had won after a very even match.
