Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Liri SAD's Roque Abascal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Pau's Santiago Gimeno got control of the ball when Antolin Higuera tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Pau getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Abejundio Zafrilla hit a great ball. Roque Abascal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Santiago Gimeno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ioseba Maestro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Coya having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Celso Montero notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Liri SAD's Celestino Coya. Celestino Coya was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Celso Montero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caitano Turrilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Santiago Gimeno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Antolin Higuera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Liri SAD's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Montero came free, but Celestino Coya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Liri SAD booed when Pau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quentin Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Liri SAD's Sigfrido Morales took a good shot, in the 40th minute, which hit the crossbar above Santiago Gimeno's head, and flew over the goal. Pau's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Liri SAD. In the 42nd minute, Pau's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Roque Abascal fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Celso Montero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emeterio Coello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Celestino Coya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ioseba Maestro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Celestino Coya skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Beltran De Paula hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Antolin Higuera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santiago Gimeno read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Celso Montero recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Celestino Coya. Celso Montero showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. In the 74th minute Roque Abascal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Gimeno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Odilon Tormes kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After 77 minutes of play, Liri SAD's Roque Abascal made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santiago Gimeno was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Celso Montero came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Pau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Montero couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute Roque Abascal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Gimeno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pau walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
