James Nadal charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed James Nadal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th match minute, Hortichuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by James Nadal to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, Hortichuela's goalkeeper Anibal Torrent had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antolin Higuera. Antolin Higuera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Anibal Torrent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Beltran De Paula hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Archibaldo Bargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Coya having to interfere. Celestino Coya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cordera Huerta, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cordera Huerta to make the kick off. Anibal Torrent showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antolin Higuera, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute, Archibaldo Bargas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Abascal in the 58th minute of play forced Hortichuela's goalkeeper Anibal Torrent to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cordera Huerta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Liri SAD's Roque Abascal got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xabat Gimenez hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Roque Abascal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liri SAD's supporters rose to their feet, but Roque Abascal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anibal Torrent breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antolin Higuera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Torrent having to interfere. When Roque Abascal came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Liri SAD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roque Abascal couldn't finish the play. If Antolin Higuera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hortichuela's Archibaldo Bargas got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Abascal in the 91st minute of play forced Hortichuela's goalkeeper Anibal Torrent to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
