In the 4th minute, Venceslao Feliu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Pau getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Emeterio Coello hit a great ball. Santiago Gimeno stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Misael Morales's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Ioseba Maestro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Pau booed when Nalbuena SD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Montiel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Nalbuena SD's zone, Celso Montero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pepito Abajas came out of the goal and Celso Montero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the match, Pau's goal looked a bit too open when Misael Morales came free, but Santiago Gimeno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 played minutes, Nalbuena SD's Leonides Verges shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Santiago Gimeno came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nalbuena SD reached it. Santiago Gimeno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Venceslao Feliu, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Pau's goal looked a bit too open when Misael Morales came free, but Santiago Gimeno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 25 minutes, Misael Morales managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nalbuena SD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Misael Morales was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27thth minute of the game Venceslao Feliu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pau's Santiago Gimeno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ioseba Maestro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Pau getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ioseba Maestro hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celso Montero in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pepito Abajas saved Nalbuena SD from getting behind. Venceslao Feliu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, Celso Montero notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Nalbuena SD's Pepito Abajas. Pepito Abajas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Celso Montero came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Pau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Montero couldn't finish the play. Nalbuena SD's Pepito Abajas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ioseba Maestro in the 64th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Ioseba Maestro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pepito Abajas. Nalbuena SD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ioseba Maestro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 76th minute Celso Montero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pepito Abajas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abejundio Zafrilla kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Misael Morales managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nalbuena SD's supporters rose to their feet, but Misael Morales was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Gimeno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd minute, Venceslao Feliu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 86 minutes into the game, Pau's Celso Montero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pepito Abajas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When Misael Morales came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Nalbuena SD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Misael Morales couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pau fans cheered their team off the field, for while Nalbuena SD had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
