Cristo Espiritu Santo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gai Candela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucio Verdeja made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Abel Sampil sent off a good shot on target. In the 87th minute, Cristo Espiritu Santo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Iban Rojas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With an all-out effort, Rojalons's Lucio Verdeja threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Iban Rojas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
