Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Xulio Valcarcel started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Dalmu Urruti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silban Vila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalmu Urruti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Tabor Dean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alonso Sainz during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Mar Azul getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Alonso Sainz hit a great ball. Domingo Muelas, 10 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 13 minutes, Iñigo Carmona mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Girul and the Mar Azul players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Girul's Iñigo Carmona got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 15th match minute, Mar Azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonso Sainz to maneuver through the defense. Emesto Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tabor Dean having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mar Azul's zone, Dalmu Urruti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tabor Dean came out of the goal and Dalmu Urruti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Girul's Guillermo Mendez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitin Cabrera in the 27th minute of play. Girul's Iñigo Carmona got his second yellow card of the match in the 29th minute. The referee ordered Iñigo Carmona off the ground. In the 30th minute Xulio Valcarcel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Mendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Magdaleno Casillas fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Girul's protests and gave Magdaleno Casillas a yellow card for diving instead. Magdaleno Casillas kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Girul's Guillermo Mendez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xulio Valcarcel in the 40th minute of play. Guillermo Mendez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitin Cabrera in the 48th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Vitin Cabrera might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guillermo Mendez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vitin Cabrera ran back to his position shaking his head. If Xulio Valcarcel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vitin Cabrera's late challenge caught a Girul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 68th minute, Domingo Muelas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mar Azul's Tabor Dean didn't even have to move. Jaizki Castellano kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Xulio Valcarcel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Mendez having to interfere.
