Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Perico Silvestre made the kick off which started today's match. A hard shot 4 in the game by Lazcano Rallo from a close distance when the talented Alonso Pastor managed to make a qualified save. Sase's players were relieved. Medero Helguera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Brion Ramirez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Marchalenes! In the 8th minute there was a penalty for Sase. Edgard Sancho stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Brion Ramirez. 0-1. When Eberardo Blanco came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Marchalenes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eberardo Blanco couldn't finish the play. If Lazcano Rallo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Marchalenes's Perico Silvestre in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee showed Domeka De Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Domeka De Silva hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute, Medero Helguera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alonso Pastor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perico Silvestre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Perico Silvestre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonso Pastor having to interfere. In the 38th minute Medero Helguera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brion Ramirez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Medero Helguera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Brion Ramirez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brion Ramirez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Graciano Baños, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Lazcano Rallo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marchalenes's supporters rose to their feet, but Lazcano Rallo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alonso Pastor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Graciano Baños was the one to do the kick off. If Lazcano Rallo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Brion Ramirez came out of the goal and Medero Helguera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Graciano Baños in the 83rd minute of play forced Marchalenes's goalkeeper Brion Ramirez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perico Silvestre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Sase supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sase would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
