Florinio Solera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Florinio Solera was extremely unlucky when he, in the 11th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The supporters of Caballero booed when Sant Quirze Del Vallès was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovando Aznar didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Sant Quirze Del Vallès's goalkeeper Angelino Domenech had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florinio Solera. Florinio Solera received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Angelino Domenech came out and tried to block the shot, but Florinio Solera slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 15th minute. Xurde Climent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toni Sanz having to interfere. If Xurde Climent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th match minute, Caballero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sotero Jaen to maneuver through the defense. Marques Carro struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Angelino Domenech didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caballero. Sant Quirze Del Vallès's Angelino Domenech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marques Carro in the 31st minute of play. Martino Villanueva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toni Sanz having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xurde Climent was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes Sant Quirze Del Vallès got a freekick which was hit by Ovando Aznar. After 55 played minutes, Caballero's Gaizko Verdeja shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Angelino Domenech came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Caballero reached it. Martino Villanueva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toni Sanz having to interfere. Sanson Abellan's late challenge caught a Caballero's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sanson Abellan helped the player get up and apologised. After 66 played minutes Sant Quirze Del Vallès got a freekick which was hit by Sanson Abellan. Marques Carro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angelino Domenech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marques Carro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Marques Carro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caballero fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Martino Villanueva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Toni Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Gaizko Verdeja hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Sant Quirze Del Vallès's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
