The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Nastasio Carceles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Flor Maldonado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Flor Maldonado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nastasio Carceles in the 10th minute of the match. Monte Claro FC's Flor Maldonado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nastasio Carceles in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Collada's goalkeeper Laurin Madariaga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abarrotz Gibert. Abarrotz Gibert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Laurin Madariaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Javier Zapata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurin Madariaga having to interfere. Abarrotz Gibert did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Laurin Madariaga 18 minutes into the match. Abarrotz Gibert might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Laurin Madariaga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abarrotz Gibert ran back to his position shaking his head. Flor Maldonado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nastasio Carceles in the 30th minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, Monte Claro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gallo Diaz to maneuver through the defense. Lucio Darroja kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Collada's Nastasio Carceles got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Javier Zapata stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes Monte Claro FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Soto. Jonathan Soto kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Nabucodonosor Andres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Flor Maldonado made a huge save. After 65 minutes, Jonathan Soto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monte Claro FC and the Collada players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Monte Claro FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Jonathan Soto hit a great ball. The supporters of Collada booed when Monte Claro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilixo Carreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Nabucodonosor Andres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nastasio Carceles struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Flor Maldonado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Collada. Nastasio Carceles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flor Maldonado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. In the 75th match minute, Monte Claro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilixo Carreira to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the game, one of Collada:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 90 minutes into the match, Collada's Raphael Urbieta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flor Maldonado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Justin Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Javier Zapata struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Laurin Madariaga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monte Claro FC. With 97 minutes on the clock, Olivar Sacristán commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Monte Claro FC! When the match had been going on for 99 minutes, Collada's Eleuterio Prieto got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Flor Maldonado.
