After some careless play in the Mata defense, Marco-Antonio Barroso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramón Alacuart. The Mata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramón Alacuart should have stopped the shot. Damaso Olle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafo Ballesteros, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Damaso Olle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafo Ballesteros in the 18th minute of the match. Damaso Olle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Serafo Ballesteros's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. After 21 played minutes Pardanchinos got a freekick which was hit by Mero Gala. 22 minutes into the match, Mata's Montes Avila broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Eloy Aguado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Damaso Olle made a huge save. Emilio Calderon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mata's Raymond Orbiz got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emilio Calderon was the one to do the kick off. Serafo Ballesteros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Olle having to interfere. With a little luck, Mata's Ramón Alacuart got control of the ball when Marco-Antonio Barroso tried to sneak it across the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Pardanchinos's goal looked a bit too open when Serafo Ballesteros came free, but Damaso Olle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Montes Avila charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Montes Avila the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as Emilio Calderon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ramón Alacuart. That made the score 3-2 in the 84 minute of play. If Emilio Calderon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mata fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pardanchinos had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
