Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After 5 minutes, Ramón Freire mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Margarita AFC and the Santa Isabel players grew even worse after the yellow card. 4 minutes into the game, one of Margarita AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Vladimiro Canal had in the 6thth minute some difficulties stopping Dei Briso's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Santa Isabel's goal looked a bit too open when Xaime Morientes came free, but Lico Paredes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Sauca hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute of the match Urtun Benedicto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lico Paredes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belarmino Zubiaga in the 13th minute of play forced Santa Isabel's goalkeeper Lico Paredes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gorka Palanques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiro Canal having to interfere. In the 16th minute Arnaitz Herrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Canal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimiro Canal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gorka Palanques in the 17th minute. Belarmino Zubiaga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lico Paredes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Xaime Morientes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Belarmino Zubiaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Lico Paredes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lico Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xaime Morientes, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xaime Morientes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Belarmino Zubiaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lico Paredes having to interfere. Xaime Morientes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Arnaitz Herrera put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Vladimiro Canal. If Gorka Palanques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xaime Morientes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the game, Arnaitz Herrera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santa Isabel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Margarita AFC the free kick. Belarmino Zubiaga struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Lico Paredes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Margarita AFC. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Xaime Morientes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Margarita AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Xaime Morientes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lico Paredes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ciano Duarte's late challenge caught a Santa Isabel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciano Duarte helped the player get up and apologised. Ciano Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Gorka Palanques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Margarita AFC's Zuri Morales got a free kick in the 90th minute. After some careless play in the Margarita AFC defense, Gorka Palanques kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vladimiro Canal. The Margarita AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vladimiro Canal should have stopped the shot. Belarmino Zubiaga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lico Paredes having to make a save. Margarita AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
