Emeterio Freire helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mora La Nova getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Emeterio Freire hit a great ball. After 5 minutes, José Sauca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santa Isabel and the Mora La Nova players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lico Paredes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mora La Nova. After 23 played minutes Santa Isabel got a freekick which was hit by José Sauca. Mora La Nova's Emeterio Freire managed to work through Santa Isabel's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Emeterio Freire dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Ceandro Vila struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Lico Paredes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mora La Nova. Arnaitz Herrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pepe Helguera having to interfere. A collision led to Mora La Nova getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Isidor Fernandez hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Santa Isabel's Dei Briso broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 34th match minute, Mora La Nova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mundo De la Rosa to maneuver through the defense. Santa Isabel's Dei Briso took a good shot, in the 35th minute, which hit the crossbar above Pepe Helguera's head, and flew over the goal. Mora La Nova's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Santa Isabel. Arnaitz Herrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Pepe Helguera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emeterio Freire scored 0-2 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lico Paredes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnaitz Herrera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Emeterio Freire came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Mora La Nova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emeterio Freire couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Mora La Nova's Lico Paredes threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Emeterio Freire, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Mora La Nova's zone, Arnaitz Herrera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pepe Helguera came out of the goal and Arnaitz Herrera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ceandro Vila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Lico Paredes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaitz Herrera in the 72nd minute of play forced Mora La Nova's goalkeeper Pepe Helguera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Emeterio Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 76 minutes, Ceandro Vila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mora La Nova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ceandro Vila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute, one of Santa Isabel:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Santa Isabel. 89 minutes into the match, Mora La Nova's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaitz Herrera came free, but Pepe Helguera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Gabriel Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mora La Nova's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lico Paredes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnaitz Herrera struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Pepe Helguera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa Isabel. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mora La Nova eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
