The referee gave Mirafuentes AD a penalty, 21 minutes into the game. In the 30thth minute of the game Xavier Cabezas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cárdenas FC's Anibal Sobrado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cárdenas FC's zone, Xavier Cabezas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anibal Sobrado came out of the goal and Xavier Cabezas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Alberto Iniesta put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Anibal Sobrado. Oswaldo Blanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermenegildo Camara in the 40th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mirafuentes AD's zone, Sinforoso Garay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oswaldo Blanco came out of the goal and Sinforoso Garay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 45 played minutes Cárdenas FC got a freekick which was hit by Hermenegildo Camara. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
