Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Iosu Solana made the kick off and thus started the match. 4 minutes into the match, Mercadal SAD's goal looked a bit too open when Manolo Cuadrado came free, but Etor Jaen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Manolo Cuadrado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Etor Jaen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cirino Dulce, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cirino Dulce in the 21st minute of play forced Mercadal SAD's goalkeeper Etor Jaen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cirino Dulce might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Etor Jaen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cirino Dulce ran back to his position shaking his head. Mercadal SAD's Etor Jaen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manolo Cuadrado in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, El Plantío's Manolo Cuadrado got a free kick in the 29th minute. The supporters of El Plantío booed when Mercadal SAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aratz Pacheco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th match minute, Mercadal SAD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rufio Coello to maneuver through the defense. After 40 minutes, Ramond Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Plantío and the Mercadal SAD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd minute Iosu Solana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan-Carlos Valines saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mercadal SAD's Etor Jaen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manolo Cuadrado in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Cirino Dulce made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Aquilino Canosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Plantío's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mercadal SAD the free kick. Aniol Prieto succeeded in the game's 53rd minute to get real power on a long shot . El Plantío's Juan-Carlos Valines hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 2-0! Etor Jaen made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Manolo Cuadrado sent off a good shot on target. In the 59th minute of the match, Cirino Dulce tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Etor Jaen saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Aristeo Aznar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Juan-Carlos Valines tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Etor Jaen didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 65th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. The audience was convinced that Iosu Solana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juan-Carlos Valines was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Cirino Dulce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Etor Jaen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Etor Jaen didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 79th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. Manolo Cuadrado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 90 minutes, Cirino Dulce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Plantío's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cirino Dulce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gorka Baltanas struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Etor Jaen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Plantío.
