But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gallo Bastida couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute, Cesaro Lastras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the game, Iboyo CF's Jerrold Babia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Petronio Abasalo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Petronio Abasalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claris Litago in the 25th minute of the match. Petronio Abasalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claris Litago in the 27th minute of play. After 27 played minutes Albatàrrec AFC got a freekick which was hit by David Gasso. Jerrold Babia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petronio Abasalo having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Albatàrrec AFC's Xepe Urquijo got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Celestino Rico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petronio Abasalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claris Litago in the 38th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claris Litago in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petronio Abasalo saved Albatàrrec AFC from getting behind. The supporters of Albatàrrec AFC booed when Iboyo CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Macia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Albatàrrec AFC's Gallo Morado broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jerrold Babia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The corner led Iboyo CF's Alfredo Macia to fire away a dangerous shot which Petronio Abasalo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Iboyo CF's goal looked a bit too open when Gallo Bastida came free, but Kiko Madariaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celestino Rico scored 1-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kiko Madariaga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Rico in the 68th minute of play forced Iboyo CF's goalkeeper Kiko Madariaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th match minute, Albatàrrec AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gallo Bastida to maneuver through the defense. Petronio Abasalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerrold Babia in the 73rd minute of the match. When Cesaro Lastras was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. In the 77th minute, Cesaro Lastras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kiko Madariaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gallo Bastida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the game, David Gasso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Albatàrrec AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Iboyo CF the free kick. If Gallo Bastida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute.
