Herrera's Aznar Sánchez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Sánchez in the 21st minute of play. Aznar Sánchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apat Ecija in the 31st minute of play. Apat Ecija sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Apat Ecija was the one to do the kick off. When Cucao Barba came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Herrera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cucao Barba couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Narciso Barral during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 56th minute, one of Berrugo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Berrugo. After some careless play in the Berrugo defense, Manolo Moreira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aznaro Moreno. The Berrugo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aznaro Moreno should have stopped the shot. 62 minutes into the game, Manolo Valines was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aznaro Moreno showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cucao Barba in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aznaro Moreno saved Berrugo from getting behind. Aznar Sánchez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfonso Sánchez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aznar Sánchez having to interfere. In the 84th minute of the match, Apat Ecija tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aznar Sánchez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 89th minute Apat Ecija shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aznar Sánchez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aznar Sánchez made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Alfonso Sánchez sent off a good shot on target. Berrugo's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Herrera had won, even though Berrugo had held more of the ball.
