When Galsino Cuervas came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Guimarei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Galsino Cuervas couldn't finish the play. Fran Alarcon charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fran Alarcon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Guimarei getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Fran Alarcon hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Playo Treviño managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santa Cristina AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Playo Treviño was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andoitz Villafane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Playo Treviño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Playo Treviño in the 22nd minute of play forced Guimarei's goalkeeper Andoitz Villafane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd match minute, Guimarei was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fran Alarcon to maneuver through the defense. Milio Laredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Galsino Cuervas in the 24th minute of play. Milio Laredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hegoi Incera in the 25th minute of the match. If Playo Treviño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Playo Treviño struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Andoitz Villafane didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa Cristina AFC. When Fran Alarcon was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 31 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Guimarei's Fran Alarcon got a free kick in the 32nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Playo Treviño in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andoitz Villafane saved Guimarei from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hegoi Incera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Guimarei's Hegoi Incera was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 55th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Hegoi Incera blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Milio Laredo having to make a save. In the 66th minute Emilio Gil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andoitz Villafane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hegoi Incera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milio Laredo having to interfere. Hegoi Incera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st match minute, Guimarei was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenech Canturri to maneuver through the defense. Playo Treviño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Andoitz Villafane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
