Chirles SAD's Yoel Soto got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 9th minute, Clodio Reyes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristofer Rosario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clodio Reyes in the 11th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Clodio Reyes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chirles SAD's supporters rose to their feet, but Clodio Reyes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristofer Rosario breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yoel Soto in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristofer Rosario prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yoel Soto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Cristofer Rosario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Poveda's Cristofer Rosario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yoel Soto in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute Etor Sans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pepe Contratas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chirles SAD's Pepe Contratas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Etor Sans in the 34th minute of play. Marcelo De la Torre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Cristofer Rosario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 39 minutes, Yoel Soto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chirles SAD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yoel Soto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristofer Rosario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yoel Soto in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yoel Soto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcelo De la Torre kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Etor Sans in the 53rd minute of play forced Chirles SAD's goalkeeper Pepe Contratas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 56th play minutes Yoel Soto shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Cristofer Rosario and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 61st minute Yoel Soto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristofer Rosario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clodio Reyes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cristofer Rosario firmly grabbed it by the left post. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Poveda booed when Chirles SAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primo Elguero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Etor Sans kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Toni Mayol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pepe Contratas having to interfere.
