The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gaitan Abril showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Alarcon in the 4th minute of the match. If Demetrio Feria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Morera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentín Duran in the 11th minute of play. Demetrio Feria struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Gaitan Abril didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pedruel UD. Hipolito Quesada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Cenes De La Vega's Xurdin Guasch in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Peio Solera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaitan Abril having to interfere. Xurdin Guasch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. José Morera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peio Solera might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gaitan Abril. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peio Solera ran back to his position shaking his head. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Peio Solera in the 52nd minute of play forced Cenes De La Vega's goalkeeper Gaitan Abril to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cenes De La Vega's Gaitan Abril played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peio Solera in the 59th minute of play. Gaizkine Sans's late challenge caught a Cenes De La Vega's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaizkine Sans helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of Pedruel UD:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cenes De La Vega:s goal. The goalkeeper, José Morera, was totally fooled by Cenes De La Vega's Berriotxoa Montiel, who 62 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Peio Solera scored 1-1 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaitan Abril, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 71st minute, Demetrio Feria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gaitan Abril was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Demetrio Feria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pedruel UD's supporters rose to their feet, but Demetrio Feria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaitan Abril breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78thth minute of the game Peio Solera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cenes De La Vega's Gaitan Abril was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 80th minute Peio Solera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaitan Abril saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Morera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xurdin Guasch, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Xurdin Guasch received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. José Morera came out and tried to block the shot, but Xurdin Guasch slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 83rd minute. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pedruel UD's goalkeeper José Morera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. José Morera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xurdin Guasch's shot from short distance in the 96th minute.
