Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Máximo Cabrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iñigo Ramiréz in the 9th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iñigo Ramiréz in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Máximo Cabrera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in San Juan De Alicante's zone, Efraín Alcaraz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorio Jimenez came out of the goal and Efraín Alcaraz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iñigo Ramiréz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Máximo Cabrera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emiliano Redondo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Máximo Cabrera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Dorio Jimenez was a little too slow when Efraín Alcaraz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-0. After having played for 27 minutes, Baudelio Alonso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Negros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baudelio Alonso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efraín Alcaraz in the 28th minute of play forced San Juan De Alicante's goalkeeper Dorio Jimenez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicanor Alonso kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. It was beautiful to see San Juan De Alicante's Mahoma Castelao in action when he in the 31st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Baudelio Alonso sped through San Juan De Alicante's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dorio Jimenez. Baudelio Alonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorio Jimenez having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Negros fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! After 68 minutes of play, Negros's Efraín Alcaraz made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Máximo Cabrera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iñigo Ramiréz in the 78th minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Máximo Cabrera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Emiliano Redondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute, Emiliano Redondo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Negros fully deserved thier win.
