Sindo Tormes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pio Candela having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddy Izquierdo couldn't finish the play. If Medero Caminero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Freddy Izquierdo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Xamin Bernal. That made the score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. When Tino Morado fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corrubedo's protests and gave Tino Morado a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Corrubedo's Tino Morado got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 32nd match minute, Corrubedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Cuervas to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Corrubedo's zone, Kaiet Velasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pio Candela came out of the goal and Kaiet Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Freddy Izquierdo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. In the 42nd match minute, Pelagalls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florin Abrego to maneuver through the defense. Pelagalls's Xamin Bernal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Izquierdo in the 44th minute of play. Xamin Bernal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Medero Caminero in the 45th minute. Medero Caminero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xamin Bernal having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sindo Tormes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Freddy Izquierdo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xamin Bernal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Freddy Izquierdo's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Kaiet Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pio Candela having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Freddy Izquierdo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Corrubedo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Xamin Bernal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Izquierdo, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
