The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Seve Garay in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Delmiro Segarra saved Frontones from getting behind. Aketza Gabas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Seve Garay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Delmiro Segarra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Isla Plana getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Muno Canosa hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Frontones's zone, Aketza Gabas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delmiro Segarra came out of the goal and Aketza Gabas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Delmiro Segarra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Seve Garay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Egoitz Vives fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Castillo having to interfere. Aketza Gabas scored 0-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Delmiro Segarra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aketza Gabas in the 37th minute of play forced Frontones's goalkeeper Delmiro Segarra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute Aketza Gabas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmiro Segarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Seve Garay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aketza Gabas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Delmiro Segarra having to make a save. Egoitz Vives sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aketza Gabas to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Frontones's goal looked a bit too open when Aketza Gabas came free, but Delmiro Segarra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rdth minute of the game Goyo Costa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Isla Plana's Abelardo Castillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Abelardo Castillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidel santillana in the 54th minute of the match. Abelardo Castillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Goyo Costa in the 56th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Isla Plana's Aketza Gabas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Delmiro Segarra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Alejandro santillana fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Isla Plana's protests and gave Alejandro santillana a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes Isla Plana got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro santillana. Iván Verges hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Delmiro Segarra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seve Garay, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute of the match, Aketza Gabas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Delmiro Segarra saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Liberto Flores hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. When Aketza Gabas came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Isla Plana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aketza Gabas couldn't finish the play. If Egoitz Vives had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Isla Plana's Iván Verges got a free kick in the 84th minute. Seve Garay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmiro Segarra having to interfere. Delmiro Segarra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iván Verges in the 96th minute. The Frontones supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Isla Plana's performance. The match ended with a win for Isla Plana.
