Sigfrido Mendez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elazar Varela in the 3rd minute of play. After 4 played minutes Aguilas got a freekick which was hit by Playo Marcos. Sarracino Galdamez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Perpiñán, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jordi Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 15 minutes, David Perpiñán managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Prades's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Perpiñán was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gonzalo Abad during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th minute, Gonzalo Abad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gonzalo Abad hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Prades's David Perpiñán got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Prades's David Perpiñán in the 22nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Sarracino Galdamez was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Aguilas through an amazing save. 23 minutes into the match, Prades's goal looked a bit too open when Elazar Varela came free, but Sigfrido Mendez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Gonzalo Abad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigfrido Mendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jordi Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Sarracino Galdamez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Prades's Idacio Gasso got a free kick in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tome De la Rosa in the 31st minute of play forced Prades's goalkeeper Sigfrido Mendez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prades's Sigfrido Mendez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elazar Varela in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Elazar Varela had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sigfrido Mendez. Prades's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elazar Varela was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Perpiñán to make the kick off. If Tome De la Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Elazar Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigfrido Mendez having to interfere. Sigfrido Mendez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tome De la Rosa in the 55th minute. The audience was convinced that Elazar Varela's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sigfrido Mendez was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. 74 minutes into the game, Idacio Gasso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Prades's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aguilas the free kick. A collision led to Prades getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Idacio Gasso hit a great ball. The long shot by Jesús Babia in the 75th minute really tested Sigfrido Mendez's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Magdaleno De Silva fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Prades's protests and gave Magdaleno De Silva a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute, Magdaleno De Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tome De la Rosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Prades's zone, Tome De la Rosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sigfrido Mendez came out of the goal and Tome De la Rosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elazar Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Aguilas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
