After 10 played minutes, Trasmontaña's Belisario Infante shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anacleto Buenafuente came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Trasmontaña reached it. Erlantz Moya hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, Pascual Bartumeu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amarante Llinares. Trasmontaña's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pascual Bartumeu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 22 played minutes Trasmontaña got a freekick which was hit by Edilberto Zárate. Pascual Bartumeu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Amarante Llinares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anacleto Buenafuente stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thomas Lara's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Anacleto Buenafuente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 34 minutes into the game, Mon Radaban cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Anacleto Buenafuente was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mon Radaban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Buenafuente having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Thomas Lara made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Thomas Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Buenafuente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascual Bartumeu in the 58th minute of play forced Trasmontaña's goalkeeper Amarante Llinares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xosepin Ortega during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 66 played minutes Trasmontaña got a freekick which was hit by Xosepin Ortega. In the 67th minute, Pudes Amer made a precise shot to the right of Amarante Llinares. Trasmontaña's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 72nd match minute, Minas Diogenes AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascual Bartumeu to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute Pudes Amer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amarante Llinares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Trasmontaña's goalkeeper Amarante Llinares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thomas Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Buenafuente having to interfere. Trasmontaña's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
