Ion Veloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anacleto Buenafuente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cefero Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cefero Machado in the 10th minute of play forced Minas Diogenes AFC's goalkeeper Anacleto Buenafuente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Pudes Amer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pudes Amer's late challenge caught a Galve De Sorbe SD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pudes Amer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd match minute, Minas Diogenes AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pudes Amer to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the game, Galve De Sorbe SD's Gorka Camacho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anacleto Buenafuente made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Cefero Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pudes Amer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 37 minutes of play, Minas Diogenes AFC's Pascual Bartumeu made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mazuste Raya was left in no man's land by his defense there! Galve De Sorbe SD's Gorka Camacho got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pudes Amer to strike the kick off in the second half. Pascual Bartumeu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Mazuste Raya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pudes Amer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65thth minute of the game Pudes Amer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galve De Sorbe SD's Mazuste Raya was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cefero Machado hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Galve De Sorbe SD's goal looked a bit too open when Pascual Bartumeu came free, but Mazuste Raya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Pudes Amer put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mazuste Raya. After a defensive mix-up in Minas Diogenes AFC's zone, Gorka Camacho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anacleto Buenafuente came out of the goal and Gorka Camacho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Minas Diogenes AFC defense, Cefero Machado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anacleto Buenafuente. The Minas Diogenes AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anacleto Buenafuente should have stopped the shot. If Pascual Bartumeu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 89 minutes into the match, Minas Diogenes AFC's goalkeeper Anacleto Buenafuente had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cefero Machado. Pudes Amer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 minutes, Adrián Mala mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galve De Sorbe SD and the Minas Diogenes AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Galve De Sorbe SD getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Adrián Mala hit a great ball. Cefero Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anacleto Buenafuente read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. Galve De Sorbe SD's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
