The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Xandro Cabada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benjamin Fonticoba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lobo Gómez having to interfere. Lobo Gómez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamin Fonticoba in the 17th minute. Andresito Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgio Santos in the 19th minute of play. Handi Santos hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Enrique Riba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parchite FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Riba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andresito Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 23 minutes into the match, Parchite FC's goalkeeper Lobo Gómez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamin Fonticoba. Giorgio Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Giorgio Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Parchite FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Adelio Ribas hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamin Fonticoba got free with Lobo Gómez in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andresito Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giorgio Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Parchite FC's Giorgio Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. During the 41st minute of the match Handi Santos completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Handi Santos a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 42 played minutes Jaén got a freekick which was hit by Handi Santos. Jaén's Andresito Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giorgio Santos in the 43rd minute of play. Lobo Gómez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamin Fonticoba in the 47th minute.

A collision led to Jaén getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Xandro Cabada hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Parchite FC's zone, Ponce Solo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lobo Gómez came out of the goal and Ponce Solo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Odon Aballe kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. If Giorgio Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Parchite FC booed when Jaén was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julen Huerta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 83 minutes, Giorgio Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parchite FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giorgio Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose-Manuel Tarin in the 95th minute of play forced Jaén's goalkeeper Andresito Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Parchite FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
