The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Urtsua Clemente in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Migúel Reyes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 9 minutes, Haritz Santiago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salinas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haritz Santiago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the last second Migúel Reyes throw himself and got hold of the ball when Urtsua Clemente in the 13thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olot's goalkeeper Migúel Reyes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Olot's Migúel Reyes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urtsua Clemente in the 20th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Haritz Santiago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Urtsua Clemente hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Derwin De la Torre in the 32nd minute of play forced Salinas's goalkeeper Facundo Zárate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Derwin De la Torre made a precise shot to the right of Facundo Zárate. Salinas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Salinas's Haritz Santiago got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 48th minute, Salinas's Urtsua Clemente dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Urtsua Clemente to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Urtsua Clemente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Migúel Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olot's Angelines Sirvent got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Angelines Sirvent managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olot's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelines Sirvent was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Facundo Zárate breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mosen Verdeja kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Amador Rapado kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Rubio Aranzubia sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Salinas's Facundo Zárate didn't even have to move. In the 72nd minute, Derwin De la Torre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Angelines Sirvent got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Haritz Santiago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Migúel Reyes came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Salinas's Haritz Santiago. But to his dismay, Haritz Santiago quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After having played for 86 minutes, Urtsua Clemente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salinas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urtsua Clemente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
