Sigfrido Garate could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Cirilo Herrera made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iraitz Macías couldn't finish the play. The Vilaboa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vilaboa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
