The audience thought a goal was coming when Behe Serrano got free with Hernán Mala in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 14 minutes, Aitor Garzon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Benifaraig's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aitor Garzon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Benifaraig booed when Pozomillos CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Suarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Suarez in the 36th minute of play forced Benifaraig's goalkeeper Baudelio Madariaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guillen Candela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baudelio Madariaga having to interfere. After 95 minutes, Guillen Candela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pozomillos CF and the Benifaraig players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th match minute, Pozomillos CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillen Candela to maneuver through the defense. Benifaraig's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Horacio Rivas in the 98th minute.
