Reynaldo Solana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Bittor Clemente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximino Incera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Morado having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Olot AFC's Playo Correa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Juvenal Morado. That made the score 1-0 after 12 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilberto Urruti during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gilberto Urruti hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. A collision led to Canferre De La Cogullada getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Sebastián Quevedo hit a great ball. Arbidel Pacheco was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 18th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 22nd match minute, Olot AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zarando Manrique to maneuver through the defense. Victorio Pedrosa charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victorio Pedrosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 27 played minutes Olot AFC got a freekick which was hit by Victorio Pedrosa. When Lancelot Pedraza fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canferre De La Cogullada's protests and gave Lancelot Pedraza a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Olot AFC booed when Canferre De La Cogullada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lancelot Pedraza didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Playo Correa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andoitz Colillas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olot AFC's goalkeeper Bittor Clemente, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Olot AFC booed when Canferre De La Cogullada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastián Quevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Playo Correa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juvenal Morado was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Maximino Incera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olot AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximino Incera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juvenal Morado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Canferre De La Cogullada's zone, Maximino Incera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juvenal Morado came out of the goal and Maximino Incera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After 51 played minutes Olot AFC got a freekick which was hit by Iban Batuecas. Juvenal Morado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Playo Correa, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Victorio Pedrosa kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Bittor Clemente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Solana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Andoitz Colillas came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Canferre De La Cogullada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andoitz Colillas couldn't finish the play. Reynaldo Solana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bittor Clemente having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andoitz Colillas got free with Bittor Clemente in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Olot AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Canferre De La Cogullada had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
