Olaf Canyelles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. F.C Capital's Alfons Puig got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ireno Torrente during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, La Union's Ireno Torrente got a free kick in the 20th minute. If Torcuato Bravo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olaf Canyelles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xoan Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Romeo Aranzubia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olaf Canyelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to F.C Capital getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Raymon Clemente hit a great ball. Antonio Zamora took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafael Pantoja. Rafael Pantoja dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Romeo Aranzubia managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C Capital's supporters rose to their feet, but Romeo Aranzubia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olaf Canyelles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xoan Pardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olaf Canyelles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Torcuato Bravo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Olaf Canyelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafael Pantoja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ireno Torrente, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santiago Lacorte made a kick off. After 53 played minutes, La Union's Dalmai Galego shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rafael Pantoja came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Union reached it. After a rather tough play, F.C Capital's Ponce Arribas got a free kick in the 54th minute. When Santiago Lacorte came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the La Union fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santiago Lacorte couldn't finish the play. Xoan Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafael Pantoja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Lacorte in the 71st minute of the match. Olaf Canyelles was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Torcuato Bravo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 78 minute of play. Xoan Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
