The tension between the Vall Sobrega SD and the Indurain SAD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th match minute, Vall Sobrega SD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arbas Otero to maneuver through the defense. Zuri Morado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Indurain SAD booed when Vall Sobrega SD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frodo Baños didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celino Mendez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zuri Morado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celino Mendez might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oro Novo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celino Mendez ran back to his position shaking his head. If Zuri Morado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zuri Morado to make the kick off. Edmundo Maestro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Duarte Sánchez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arbas Otero, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. A collision led to Indurain SAD getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Nestor Fernandez hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the match, Celino Mendez notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Vall Sobrega SD's Oro Novo. Oro Novo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 76th minute, Celino Mendez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Maestro in the 78th minute of play forced Indurain SAD's goalkeeper Duarte Sánchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Zuri Morado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Indurain SAD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zuri Morado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Indurain SAD's goalkeeper Duarte Sánchez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Indurain SAD's goal looked a bit too open when Frodo Baños came free, but Duarte Sánchez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Indurain SAD's Zuri Morado ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Oro Novo. Oro Novo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Indurain SAD walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
