The audience was convinced that Gorosti Contratas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dalmu Verdaguer was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Nerio Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Subijana De Alava's Orlando Hidalgo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Maroto in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Alberto Revuelta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 16 played minutes, Fornillos De Apies's Rufo Contreras shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Orlando Hidalgo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fornillos De Apies reached it. After some careless play in the Subijana De Alava defense, Nerio Escobar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Orlando Hidalgo. The Subijana De Alava fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Orlando Hidalgo should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Subijana De Alava's Hermenegildo Valerón got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Orlando Hidalgo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nerio Escobar, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Gorosti Contratas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Dalmu Verdaguer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd match minute, Fornillos De Apies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Higuera to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute, Beti Diaz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Fornillos De Apies's Dalmu Verdaguer didn't even have to move. When Pio Maestro came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Subijana De Alava fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pio Maestro couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nerio Escobar was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Subijana De Alava's Orlando Hidalgo got control of the ball when Daniel Figueroa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fornillos De Apies's Nerio Escobar got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Daniel Figueroa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fornillos De Apies's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Figueroa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlando Hidalgo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pio Maestro hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. If Gorosti Contratas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Fornillos De Apies had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
