In the 9th minute Heriberto Villalcazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonsalve Gala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Villanueva kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Lucas Zapico reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Manuel Jurado. The goal made the score 1-0. Ponte Castrelo's Heriberto Villalcazar got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ponte Castrelo's goalkeeper Manuel Jurado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 30 minutes, Mariano Villanueva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ponte Castrelo and the Granadilla De Abona AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ponte Castrelo's Mariano Villanueva got a free kick in the 30th minute. Lucas Zapico who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Manuel Jurado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Heriberto Villalcazar sped through Granadilla De Abona AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gonsalve Gala. 40 minutes into the match, Ponte Castrelo's goalkeeper Manuel Jurado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Esquipula Bencoiechea. Lucas Zapico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Manuel Jurado made a huge save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucas Zapico made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Lucas Zapico notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ponte Castrelo's Manuel Jurado. Manuel Jurado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Esquipula Bencoiechea put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Manuel Jurado. 3-2 became the score in the 69th minute when Heriberto Villalcazar elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Esquipula Bencoiechea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Manuel Jurado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esquipula Bencoiechea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tadeo Cao hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Mariano Villanueva kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The supporters of Granadilla De Abona AFC booed when Ponte Castrelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Villanueva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucas Zapico took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Jurado. Manuel Jurado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Manuel Jurado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Zapico in the 89th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the game, Granadilla De Abona AFC's Lucas Zapico nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Jurado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. Granadilla De Abona AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
